carl.jpgThis weekend was the first in many where I was not traveling, so I tried to relax a little and catch up on a some gaming. I went to GameStop for my brother-in-law to pick up Mario Party 8. Madden 07 for Wii was the right price at $29.99, so I picked it up for myself.

Of course, every time I go in there, I get enticed into looking at the upcoming titles list, and I quickly scan for Brunswick Bowling only to be disappointed. This time was no exception. However, I did find a title that hadn’t been on the list before that more than made up for any lack of bowling goodness.

Guitar Hero III.

I had been wanting to get a used PS2 just so I could play Guitar Hero, but I’ve held out on the one tiny shred of hope that some incarnation of Guitar Hero would be coming to the Wii. And, not only is it, it’s coming with a bad ass wireless Les Paul controller. Widdly-waaaaaa!

Looks like GH3 is slated to hit all the consoles in late October. Start growing your mullets now.

  • When I first heard about Guitar Hero I thought it was going to be lame... until I played it.

    But when my brother-in-law got it for his PS2 and I gave it a whirl, I had a blast. It was simple to learn and fun to play.

    The clickity clack of the keys is a bit annoying, but something I'm sure they'll address in the next version.

    Rock on, I say, as air guitar players unite in number.
