No NaBloPoMo for me.

November has rolled around once again, and for the past two years that has meant my participation in National Blog Posting Month. Every day of November I would write a post.
At the end of last November I decided I probably wouldn’t do it again. When Piper brought up how drained he was writing a Halloween post a day during October, it reminded me that NaBloPoMo was definitely on my NOT to-do list this year.
I mean, sure. Last year’s NaBloPoMo brought about some great mini-features on this site. There was Dog Jingle Thursday, which found me posting MP3 files of songs I would sing to my dog when giving her a treat for going potty.
And who could forget What Was Tom Smoking? I religiously watched the Cutlery Corner Network for the entire month searching for knife values to pass on to you. OK… I was watching that trainwreck of a show for my own entertainment but thought I’d pass along my favorite moments.
The ultimate point though is how emotionally drained daily blogging can make you when you only blog for fun in the first place. If I were a professional blogger I’d suck it up ’cause I gots to get paid, son. But I’m not, therefore it’s not worth the stress. I’ve got plenty of other things I’d rather be doing.
So, no NaBloPoMo. But, I have been feeling a bit more loquacious lately, so you might see post frequency go up a little for a while. The two are not mutually linked however.
