From Cowboy To Astronaut – The Tour

fcta.pngOne of the main reasons I’ve had such a dry spell in posting lately is that shortly after we moved into the new house I had a lot of work to do preparing for a very brief lecture tour that I’ve embarked upon.

Last Thursday night I presented From Cowboy To Astronaut: Adventures in Advertising and Design to a group of about 50 members of the Oklahoma State University Ad Club in Stillwater, OK. Over the course of an hour we skimmed over the course of my creative career (warts and all), talked about the path that creative projects take from start to finish, and then ended the evening with a discussion about the hot topics and technologies that will affect them most once they leave school and begin their agency careers.

I had a great time, and from the looks of the pictures that the professor sent me, I think they did too. If you’re interested, here’s the presentation deck.

I’ll be doing one more stop on the tour (I told you it was very brief) on October 18th when I spend the evening with the Kansas State University Ad Club in Manhattan, KS.

If you want to keep the “tour” going so that it stops in your town, drop me a line.
