The Low-Information Diet

thin-blackberry.jpgThis ChangeThis manifesto by Timothy Ferris details an amazingly simple yet daring method for decreasing the amount of time wasted shuffling through your email inbox and spending more time actually getting things done at work and in your life that actually matter.

Ferriss claims that this method reduces the amount of “emergencies” that come up and that the reduction of back-and-forth emailing actually raises the productivity of those who are sending you the emails in the first place.

However, with so many of us (myself included) running around with Blackberries, Treos, and other mobile devices that make us immediately available, who has the cojones to actually put this idea into practice?

Do you have what it takes to check email only once a day?
