Alright, I’ll do this too

I’ve been reading a number of people’s 2005 retrospectives the past couple of days, and I figured… what the hell. I’ll do one too.

2005 has been a very good year. As the year progressed, the following happened:

  • A number of advertising campaigns I’ve worked on received ADDY Awards.
  • This blog launched, and subsequently got picked up by MXNA.
  • I got married on June 20th.
  • I’ve gotten the most done on Tiki Bar: The Animated Series since the idea’s inception in 2002.
  • I got rid of my homebrew PC and switched to a mac mini. I have enjoyed every minute of it, and am trying to convince Robin to ditch her Dell laptop for an iBook (you know you want to, babe).
  • I’ve mused on a wide variety of subjects, much to the delight and chagrin of nearly 80,000 of you.
  • A whole bunch of other stuff that was awesome.
  • Some stuff that wasn’t.

Looking forward to 2006, I see some great things ahead, namely Robin’s graduation from the Oklahoma City University School of Law in May. Smaller things that I forecast for 2006:

  • The pilot for Tiki Bar: The Animated Series will finally be done
  • Someone, anyone, with any clout whatsoever will see the pilot and attempt to help distribute it
  • I’ll get all my personal sites completed to a fair degree of personal satisfaction (maybe)
  • After the sites are done, I’ll try to spend less time in front of the computer and more time living (hopefully)
  • I’ll start recording music again (snippets of old stuff I found on backup discs coming in 2006)
  • Helper monkeys will become a reality for every household

I’ve also got some great tricks up my proverbial 2006 sleeve, but I’ll wait to spring them on you when the time is right.

Until 2006, shake up a martini and enjoy!
