Choosing The Task to Fit The Time
Time not spent on the front end of a project is usually spent on the back end. Sometimes, it is even multiplied. Therefore, it will take the same amount of time, if not more, no matter what.
Without knowing it, that’s something I’ve been thinking about quite a bit lately as I work on juggling a few projects at work. It seems to me that when clients (or actually account executives) want to know if something can be done in less time, I always get a lump in my throat and stress about the fact that it can’t get done faster. This has made me wonder from time to time if it was just me being inefficient, but now that I think about it the way that’s quoted above, I see that it’s really just me trying to be thorough and effective from the beginning.
